The Final Chapter in Solid Snake's Saga

Firstly before I get into the juicy part of this review, I would like to apologize to people who have come into my blog and found not a single update for the past month. Partially it was due to the hype of Metal Gear Solid and also partially due to the mountains of stress to indulge in daily.

It has been over a year since I started blogging and this post marks the 100th post. For some it might not mean much, I know people who can right more post than me in a single day than I will in a week. At least for me, as much as I would like to share part of my life with people on the net, I do not want to spend another fraction on it, sitting on a chair typing my keyboard to write that much.

Also as this is the 100th post, I would like to make it special by writing a review on a game which has been on my waiting list since forever......*exaggerated*. So without further time wasted on unnecessary talk. By the way, the review is written to include as little spoiler as possible and for those ultra sensitive people who can't stand the sight of it, PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS POST or prepare to suffer the consequences.

Metal Gear Solid 4 truly lives up to its predecessor as it brings along ever more improvement to all aspect of the game. Some of this changes lies in how the gameplay experience has changed throughout the game. One changes that veteran of the series will notice is the third person shooter of Metal Gear Solid 1 has slowly evolved to Metal Gear Solid 4's 1st and 3rd person angle battle system. By saying so, I am not implying that this game is in anyways a shooter game as its main objective still relies on being stealthy. For those who didn't know, Kojima has recently received a Guiness World Record for creating a first of its kind truly stealth base game.

In this installment, Metal Gear Solid 4 offers even more gadgets at ur disposal for playing the game the way it was meant to. Octocamo which improves on Metal Gear Solid 3's camo system, helps Snakes blend into the any environment much more effectively by quickly recreating the texture of the surface that Snake is lying/ pressing on. The drum can which is also a new item in your inventory, helps serve as both an offensive and defensive measure, as it can deflect bullets, serves as a hiding spot or even for Snake to roll in it. Of course these are only two of the numerous gadget that Snake has. Speaking of gadgets, this time around Snakes inventory of guns available for use has been increased up to a staggering 69 of them. Also about half of this weapon can be customized by placing scopes, laser sight, suppresors and so on which allows different player to use different weapon of their own choice. Of course some weapons are just plain useless other than seriving its purpose as a "joke" weapons. One of them being a gun that can absorb sunlight to be used as ammo, and another being an antique mathclock gun that can summon winds with a certain probability.

Now we know where the term "drum roll" came from...

Of course Metal Gear Solid's main element is not the stuff that you get to play with but more importantly the storyline which spans a duration of half a century. From 1964 (Metal Gear Solid 3) - > 1970 (MGS : Portable Ops) -> 1995 (Metal Gear 1) - 1999 (Metal Gear 2) -> 2005 (Metal Gear Solid 1) - > 2007,2009 (Metal Gear Solid 2) -> and finally 2014 (Metal Gear Solid 4). Previously in most, if not all, of the games, they will always be certain plot twist and unanswered question by the end of the game which will leave you craving for more. MGS4 instead serves to tie up all this loose end from the previous games and ensured that our years of wait has finally paid off. As complicated as the whole storyline may sound, veterans of the series will definitely come to appreciate Hideo Kojima's work over this past decade. Metal Gear Solid 4 is definitely for gamers who can appreciate a game for its storyline more than just for its gameplay values. It is NOT a game for people who skips each and every single cutscene and ends up asking "What's so great about the game?"

Who needs a weapon when God has blessed u with a pair of hands.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is a game that is unique for a handful of reasons but probably one of the part that stands out is their boss battle. Sometimes, you do not just go around pulling the trigger, hoping to kill the boss. In fact, in certain battles, guns and blades are of no use, and instead players are challenged to think critically about what are the most effective method of taking down an opponent.

Oh boy, this ain't gonna be pretty.

Fan service is abundant in MGS4, as some characters from previous genre makes a come back and in fact some of them look much better than they did in the previous games. By saying that, I do not mean that their faces are rendered more detailly. Just take a look at Naomi and Mei Ling, and you will notice a big change in their face from the previous game (they look much more attractive, if you know what I mean). Other that that, a personal favorite of mine, is the revisiting of a historical site which literally brings back a lot of old memory, as flashbacks are played back over and over again throughout the course of the game to refresh player's memory. [MAJOR SPOILER] in the next sentence, highlight to see. The fight between Metal Gear Rex and Ray on Shadow Moses Island is definitely another one of my favorite.The final battle is also a battle that has been long awaited by myself and the way the fight is done is definitely a great bonus for me. The battle quickly transitions between gameplay and cutscenes makes every second of it an unforgettable experience for years to come.

Needless to say, the graphics in Metal Gear Solid 4 are possibly some of the best in any games that I have seen up until now. It is truly not for me to say whether if it looks good or not, until you yourself experience what it has to offer. As for the audio, each musical piece is done to suit the every scenario that they put you into. From the heart accelerating song when a playing hide and seek with a Gekko, to the sad tune of a dying character (yes, somebody will die......duh). What Metal Gear Solid 4 presents is not just a game but an entire cinematic experience that will definitely get your jaws dropping as you awe at the masterpiece that is Metal Gear Solid.

Finally Metal Gear Online, the multiplayer counterpart of Metal Gear Solid 4 which comes with the blu ray disc. Personally I have yet to try this game out but from what I have heard from a lot of people, it is also a very enjoyable experience. Personally, I wouldn't mind having somebody who has played MGO to do this part of the review for me. Yes I am refering to certain friends who I know that also has a PS3 and defintiely plays MGO. What I know about the game is that, it plays the same as the singleplayer but of course without the octocamo and also without a grey moustache and hair and Big Boss's DNA etc etc. Although I have heard of a mode where players get to play as Old Snake and have to look for something, and in the meantime, the rest of them would go snake hunting. Konami is certainly generous enough to offer 4 maps for playing on, and in the near future, there would be further updates via Playstation Store which possibly need to be bought. Oh well, that's how things work when the company can milk the product for every cent it is worth.

Anyways, with that I would like to conclude the Metal Gear Solid 4 review by stating that this game is a fitting end to the Metal Gear Solid Saga. As some of you might have noticed by now, I did not include a scoring system this time around as being the fanboy that I am, you would expect no less than full marks for the review. It is also quite a subjective matter to whether a person would like it or not. There are people who don't give a damn about it and certainly this game is one which each and every person have to experience in order to understand the quality of it. Personal preference does play a heavy role in this matter, just as I do/will not play any sports game even if it features naked young ladies instead of sweaty fit man. =P Hope you guys like the review.

Quickie

I just noticed yesterday that my blog's background appeared differently on different monitor's resolution. So, if anyone of you is seeing a somewhat oddly positioned background, that's most probably because your resolution is not 1280 x 1024.

This week I had two quizzes, one for calculus (which I screwed up really badly) and the other was physics (which was surprisingly good). I was quite emo the day when I had my calculus quiz. I have done lotsa practice and the questions that were given were probably some of the easiest questions I have seen before. Yet, because I was careless, I went and complicate matters and eventually ended up answering the wrong things. Sad as it is that's two marks gone, another 98 to go -.-".

Also I have just finished MGS1 yesterday, I have to say good games withstand the wears and tears of time. Now onto the next game in the series, MGS2: Sons of Liberty. I'm preparing myself for a very deep plot now. I currently know most of the events that took place in Outer Heaven, Zanzibar, and also Shadow Moses. Unfortunately, MGS2 is my least favorite series among the few that I have played. Mainly because I am controlling pretty boy Raiden. I still prefer good old Solid Snake though. = (

Here comes a new PS3 owner!

The person I am referring to is none other than Mr Seow Szeten. Finally some one to replace Leon. Sadly the only game we can play online right now is GTA IV. Personally, after I have finished the storyline, there was nothing much to bring me about to insert the disc into the PS3. My attempts to get him to buy COD 4 has failed miserably and now the only option is Burnout Paradise. Frankly though I have been putting my PS3 on standby to do odd jobs only recently, downloading demos etc etc.

For now I am more focused on my PSP as it has 3 of Hideo Kojima's finest work, Metal Gear Acid^2, Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops and also the PSX's Metal Gear Solid. Metal Gear Acid is probably the one that requires the most thinking as for most people who have played any Trading Card Game. The decision to put in an extra card could greatly affect your gameplay. The size of your deck would also be a factor as the more cards you have, the lower odds you have of getting a certain card. Personally I was a bit disappointed with the multiplayer part of the game as there wasn't a choice to pick a map that I would like to play on. After MGA^2, I have just started a new game for MGS, it feels very nostalgic to revisit Shadow Moses island all over again and at times you can really appreciate the extra features that they have added to the current versions of the game. Once I'm done with MGS, I would probably be playing MGS2 and MGS 3 on the PS2 first before laying hands on MGS Portable Ops. I hope that I can finish all these games in time for MGS4. Just can't wait for another 3 weeks to past. I am still very undecided on which version of MGS4 I will be getting. Seems like there are equal pros and cons in this matter and I will probably be making the decision during the time when I will be buying it.

Summer is here!

Well at least in the Northern Hemisphere. For now, the season does not really matter but soon enough each and every of this seasons will be part of my life. For us in the AUP program, it is the beginning of a new semester now. This semester has started out fine if not good, yet there are a couple of stuff I would like to complain about. My C programming Class has too little people in it. Just the 5 or possibly 6 of us, guess computer related subjects are not that popular in our program. Secondly, I can't help but think that Dr. Chan (Cal3 Lecturer), does not like me, I have been late to both of her classes till date. It really isn't my fault as I have a previous class before then and she always starts her class at 10 sharp. She seems like a really impatient person, everything about her is fast paced. If you are not careful you might just end up as roadkill as she travels from one location to the next. The third one is mainly because a certain friend of mine will not be attending college this semester. This fella is going to the States for two weeks and thus skipping the sem. You know who you are, the only chance I can still see you is on PSN now. How tragic lol.

Well, GTA IV is quite fun, playing as Niko Bellic is definitely a unique person. He is not one of them typical gangster which goes around killing and hurting people for no freaking reason (of course you may do so if you choose to). From the storyline, you can see that he is a person who is just looking for a way to make a living regardless of who he is working for. Sometimes even working on the opposing sides. The game is probably one of the most detailed games I have played before, you can just relax in your safehouse watching the TV, go to a comedy club, go screw ....something, dating, playing as a vigilante, race (personally I hate the race because the driving is very cumbersome) and so on. The game is pretty long as I have been playing for over 40 hours and only close to 70% done with it. Even most RPG does not have that many gameplay hours if you are not including the time you spend on doing side quests and leveling up.

Well now that GTA IV is already out, the next big thing is none other than the much anticipated METAL GEAR SOLID FOUR: GUNS OF THE PATRIOTS. I have been looking at that countdown timer at the sidebar of my blog for the past few days and it just never seem to go any faster. I want this game right here right now. If I have to sleep with Hideo Kojima to get it earlier, I would do it. LoL Sounds so sick. I want play as Snake, kill freakish bosses, kill Ocelot /Liquid hybrid, make Metal Gears go Boom, destroy everything that is not Snake. Give me the damn game already T.T

Take a Break, Have a Chit Chat

Well I know my title doesn't make any sense, but by chit chat I mean writing stuff into my blog. Of course since it is a one sided conversation it might be more of a monologue if you want to go all technical.

Well anyways you would have probably noticed the new MGS4 theme skin for my blog. I personally like the background wallpaper as it is probably one of the fights I will be looking forward to in MGS4, Metal Gear Rex vs Metal Gear Ray, fan service at its best, or maybe it is the fact that I went and spend some time making the wallpaper, and would feel really bad that I did not make a nice enough wallpaper. At least try to gimme some credit as I am a person who has almost zero background in arts and has not a single creative cells in my head. For anyone who is still interested in getting the wallpaper, I'm uploading it. I am aware that the measurements are off as I have no idea how you are suppose to measure the length and width of a picture using the Paint software. Mainly because of that I had to constantly edit the wallpaper over and over again just to fit my blogs layout. Feel free to do whatever you like with it.


One week of my break has just flown pass in such a short short time and yet I feel that there are so much things that I still have to do. For one, preparation for departure to the US is a pain in the ass, air tickets, housing, registering for new classes, applying for visa, getting new clothes and etc. There are a heck load of things to do. At first you might think, "Hey you can just multitask, get everything done at the same time.", but after careful thinking this things are more of a sequence of things I have to do (visa -> tickets -> housing). I also have to start writing a list of stuff that I have to bring to the US and start buying them as soon as possible. I will have to report in to the Uni by the 21st of August, so most likely my plane will be leaving around the 18/19 of that month.

Aside from University preparation, about three quarter of the time I had was spent with my Playstation 3. Call of Duty 4 and Burnout Paradise are the games that I played the most often. I am currently on level 34/35 for COD 4 and almost catching up to Leon's level (Yes, I am damn kiasu, I like being better than other people =P) If it isn't for our splendid Internet Connection, I might actually be able to attain Prestige Mode by now. For Burnout, Leon is right, you seriously have to grind and grind for the new cars and that is exactly what I have been doing. Now I have about 50+ of the 75 cars in the game.

Honestly, I do not really feel like updating the blog that much even though I feel the pressure to do so. Blogging for me is a task on its own. I always have a lot to write in the beginning and when I am done, I know I have forgotten a whole bunch of stuff that I had intended to include. Most of the time even when I'm not writing much I actually do spend quite a hefty amount of time. Just take a look at this post, up until where I have written it took me more than half an hour already. Sadly I am out of stuff to write for now (once again, I forgot what I wanted to write in today's post), so I will be ending my post here. Do leave a comment or something about the new skin.

Ohh yeah, tomorrow a triple A title will be out. Codename GTA IV aka Grand Theft Auto 4. I'm not very hype about it but I might get a copy depending on the price of it.

Out with the old, In with the new

After yesterday, I am no more a freshman and in another two weeks time, the beginning of the sophomore year and also the final semester here in Malasia. I have been admitted to the University of Nebraska Lincoln and this has made me felt much more relax during my final exams. Time pass really fast sadly. I don't really wanna go to the States yet. I feel sad that I have to leave all the people I love just in order to get a piece of paper.........which will indefinitely affect my future somehow.

Also about the finals, what would I say about it. Harder than I had thought, which means I am screwed in someway. CGPA is gonna plunge down below 3.8 I think. I dunno whether if it was because I was slacking too much or I had pick the wrong subject for this semester (Take for instance, ENL102, dearly beloved .... son of a b*tch). None of the exams were in any way easy, and I have quickly accepted the fact that this is the worst semester for me. Have to do better in my next sem since most of the subject are stuff that I can actually relate to. Calculus 3, Physics 1 and C programming.

Next moving on right after the exam yesterday, I went shopping with my gf at Sunway Pyramid. It felt really good that I have nothing to worry about and just being able to spend time with her is a great way to start off the holiday. We went for a movie "Ah Long Pte. Ltd." and I must say I really think it is a movie worth watching and for those who have yet to watch it, you should really go to a cinema near you and catch it before they stop showing it.



Also, yesterday I finally got a copy of Call of Duty 4 for the PS3. I had always worry that the controller will not be an effective tool for a first person shooter type of game but I was obviously wrong to think so. It did not have the accuracy that we can attain via a mouse and keyboard but the auto aim mechanism have provided a slight handicap for us on the PS3. I had to admit getting use to the controls was no walk in the park. I had to play the game for about half an hour to an hour before I was able to stop my habit of throwing a grenade in an attempt to sprint. If I had the mood, I would probably write a review on this game.

All in all, even though my break has already started, I am still not feeling any holiday hype, at least not today. Wish the feeling would come soon before my break ends. There are a lot of thing that I really want to do but two weeks is really a bit too short. As the saying goes, beggars cannot be choosers. That's all for today. Bye Bye

Maybe I will just post something simple. Calculus was bloody tough, probably no A+ but I think A will still be attainable. Sad though, was working really hard for it the past few days. Anyways this cheered me up even though I do not play Halo.

Condolences

I am writing this post to wish my most sincere condolences to my pet-sis, Sook Wei's, family. I know that your dad means a lot to you and losing him is an unimaginable and unforeseen event, but I know that you have the strength in you to help cope with the sudden loss. I wish that your family will be able to endure this pain and eventually be able to get through this tough times. Know that, as long as your dad still resides in your heart, he will be with you and your family for the rest of your life. On a last note, please take good care of yourself and try your best to accept the situation and continue on with your life. = )

Holiday!.....my foot

I hate holidays where you are still busy doing something which is not holiday-ish. Take for example today, even when there are no assignments to be rushing, I still have to study for my chemistry test tomorrow. About two thirds of the day spent doing so, how pathetic. Personally I know that the test would not match up to how hard the calculus test was, but being the kiasu people that I am, I just insisted on studying more. Most people would probably just read her notes as even she herself says it is sufficient but once again, yours truly has done what most people does not, reading from the text book. Well, I did not feel any smarter except that I pretty much know more about the organic compounds and their functional groups. Great.... one step for humanity and none from me.

Spent the rest of the day Devil May Cry-ing, damn I really need a new game, I am even planning to sell away my ninja gaiden game as soon as possible only after playing it once. The reason being, 1) I sucked in the game and 2) I want Burnout Paradise ! Anyways, I was playing on Human Mode ( Leon likes to refer to it as Pussy Mode) and it just did not felt as good when I was playing on Devil Hunter's mode. Enemies gets killed after a few hits and they don't do as much damage. Main reason I am still playing is because I want the achievements. I am quite the achievement whore I would say, I usually like to suck the life out of games that I love. Final Fantasy 10, and the Kingdom Hearts series just to name a few. By the way, to anyone reading my blog and has an interest in the game, I am selling it off at RM130 so please do message me if you want it.

Besides that, Crisis Core (Jack Sparrow's Version) has also been leaked about a week earlier than the release date and I am currently "obtaining" it via Bitcomet. Leon was rubbing it in since he got the game early today morning but can't blame him for it. He did try contacting me in the morning (way early like 1.00 am in the morning), but I was half asleep and knowing me, I need 6 hours of sleep before I can regain any sense of my surrounding environment. Hopefully by time I finish Crisis Core, I would have found a customer to buy that game from me. I need a new game for the PS3 and I need it soon.

Also, I hope that my desktop can be revived by the end of the week. I really miss it and my laptop is giving me a lot of problem. Microsoft Office '07 does not runs anymore, sometimes on startup, an error appears and I am forced to restart the computer, sometimes it doesn't startup at all, and instead it goes to a startup repair thing. I could almost throw the laptop out of the window if it did give me any more unwanted problem. I really wish I can bring my entire desktop with me to the US.

Oh yeah talking about the states. The University of Nebraska Lincoln is giving me a lot of trouble as they require me to sent ANOTHER bank letter to them. I wonder why is it that other universities does not have problem with the Bank Letter I sent them and only UNL is doing this to me. Troublesome people. I really wish all this trouble is worth my effort at the end when they give me my admission decision.

Life is being a bitch but hell, without this problem, I wouldn't be the Way Loon I am today. So, just have to bear with it and pray hard that everything goes smoothly.

My life for Adun ?

Half of Korea's population are probably gonna get Starcraft 2 when it is out, and I do not have to be a rocket scientist to say that. If they can still be playing a game which is like a decade old, kudos to them, seriously. Who knows, there might even be some Starcraft cult worshipers out there. Those crazy Koreans....







Here's a couple of trailers, each containing the intro to each of the Starcraft universe races. I used to like the game back when I was smaller, but grew tired of it after a while. I was just never good in Real Time Strategy (RTS) games ever since I was small. Micromanagement is just not my thing I guess. Btw, my favorite race was and still is the Protoss. They are just so cool. I think I would get this game when it is out also even though I'm not a big RTS fan. Brings back memory I guess, just like when I was reading the Starcraft's novel. It felt good knowing that I can still remember some of the things way back when I just started gaming.

Speaking of which, I have also completed my reading on the 2nd Diablo Novel, Scales of The Serpent. Now only one last book to read before I finish The Sin War trilogy. Up until now I think the book only has a moderate storyline, nothing too outstanding. I still prefer the Starcraft novel more, but sadly the third book is not out yet. Graa

March wasn't as busy as I have expected it to be. I have quite some time on my hand, as you can see, I am even posting on my blog which I usually do not do that regularly. Somehow I can't help feeling that I might have forgotten to do something. I have a test this coming Friday, but I think I can finish studying for that subject in 3 hours. So, what is it that I am not doing? or am I just succumbing to guilt from playing on my consoles too much. Oh well, ignorance is bliss.

I have lots more things to talk about but it is time for me to caress my PS3. Till next time, buh bye

I Want My Mommy

Nooo!! My best subject Calculus 2. Test 2 no good. How ar? Die lore.

See how Malaysia's English helped explain the whole situation in one very brief line. Okie, to the more important matter at hand. Todays calculus test was really tough, and I think I have already lost at least 10/50 marks. Darn I was hoping for this test to go well actually. Truth to be told, I was expecting another 99 or better yet 100 in this test also but sadly, this isn't possible. With that, I would have to work my ass off for finals in order to obtain the A/A+ for this subject. Darn it.

Recently, my performance has been going downhill. It is during times like this that feel so pathetic and discouraged to do anything about it. I keep telling myself that I have to do better in my finals but isn't that procrastination? Constantly delaying my work for another time..... Grrahhh. Currently I have to score 4.0 for each subject besides ENL102 (which I expect to get a B/3.0), that is my only hope for maintaining my current CGPA at 3.8 and above. Aiming Magna Cum Laude, gg, just joking but it will be amazing if I can graduate with that kind of honors.

Also, today is also the first day for advance enrollment, and I have taken a look at the draft timetable. Holy mama, 3/4 of the subjects I want to is clashing at the same time period. This is bad..... I do not want to take any rubbish subjects anymore (ea: ENL One- O- Two). The 4 subjects being Cal3, Intro to Linear Algebra, C Programming, and Physics 1. Currently if I am not mistaken the only two subjects that does not clash is C programming and Intro to Linear Algebra. I will try to ask Miss Terry to try and change some of the time for the above mentioned classes so that I can at least get 3 of them. Perhaps one other class I will be taking is French 101 ? LoL Funny no? That subject cannot be transfered but currently I have ran out of subjects to take( at least those that I would really want to take *crosses out public speaking subjects*) and this seem like a fun subject to take. I have no idea why but recently I do feel like learning more foreign languages and less of those that I already know.

On a side note, I have finished kicking demons' asses Devil May Cry. Action from start to end, but I have to say that the dice rolling mini-game really is a waste of time. I could almost sympathize the poor sap who scored a S for their style but ended up with a D for time spent in a mission. XD Luckily I am not one of them............for now.

With DMC over, now is the time to start playing Assassin's Creed and Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Once done with that, DMC4 some more on higher difficulty. Those are just the game for the PS3, on the PSP there is Patapon, God of War, and Final Fantasy 7 Crisis Core. The latter is probably the game which I anticipate the most since I have held myself back from playing the Japanese version of the game. So many games, so little time. Why isn't there a job named Game Player in this world. That would be so sweet...............for me. The closest there is to one is Game Testers but those jobs are not exactly fun to do. Although you get to play the game in advance, but you will be playing with a beta or maybe even an alpha or maybe even a Greek-name-which-I-dunno-and-comes-before-alpha. All you will be doing is playing through the same stage over and over and over multiply t with limit t--->infinity. Aww shit too much calculus. I hate you limits ..... I really do.... T.T

I Hate ENL102

Lets start by saying I screwed up my ENL102 Midterm. I had no idea why but throughout the exam my mind was blank and I could feel some nervousness within me with every passing minute. The essay that killed me was one the one on success where I could not decide between definition or illustrative essay. In the end, I blend them together to create a hybrid essay. How ironic, an essay on success which ensured my failure. =.=" I never like the subject and even now I'm still regretting it, more likely than not, it can't be transferred and it pulls my CGPA down. Bloody hell.... Fortunately the midterm is just 10%, and so it greatly reduced my anxiety over this matter. Well, better luck in the finals. In a worst case scenario I would at least hope for a B grade in this retarded subject.

Besides the exam, the 2300 word essay that I wrote had to be edited in order to fit the maximum word limit of 1650(which she did not inform us about in the beginning). The best I could do was cut it down to 1700. These incident really added oil onto the existing fire. Her class is a waste of time in my opinion. The subject's coursework is also the heaviest among my other subject.Shitty shitty subject.

Next week there will be the 2nd test for Calculus and I am still very worried about it. The recent chapters are very tough I would say. Worse yet, I have barely started doing any exercise on the new chapter. Die lore ~.~"

Enough about college, back to what I love most, the Playstation 3. Although I did not have much time to play games like DMC4 and Assassin's Creed, I did downloaded a couple of new game demo. For some reason I think that providing a demo is a really great way to boost sales. Some of the demos that I played really did make me feel like getting the game.

Burnout Paradise is one such game. I usually do not touch racing games but Burnout is an exception. For some reason, the concept of "crash and burn" in the game really intrigues me. In the game, you really feel the need to crash your cars, just to look at how your car will "react to the environment". Other demo I have tried is The Club which is an FPS that Leon introduced me to, and also Lost Planet which is another shooter. Currently, I am also downloading yet another shooter which is Stranglehold, Tequila Time baby!

One thing I noticed from playing shooter games on the PS3 is that the right analog stick can never replace the mouse. I had a lot of trouble trying to aim at any incoming enemies. For now at least the Sixaxis is still a very good controller for all my gaming needs. For one, it is wireless and so I can just play any game while sitting at one corner of my room. The controller suits me fine since I have been a veteran of the PS controller design, since the PS1.

Deng wei I really wanna play God of War: Chain of Olympus. The song "Hold Devil's Pot of Tea" is playing in my head right now. For those who doesn't know what I am talking about here is the link

The day I got my PS3

It was on last Wednesday (27th of February 2008). Woot! Finally I got it after waiting for over a year. Initially I wanted to wait till I go US to get it but then the time and price seem right, so I just got myself one. I will just have to worry about bringing it over to the US next time I guess, after I have found a place to settle down .... keyword ALONE. LoL

On the day that I bought the PS3, I had initially wanted to get 2 games to come along with the PS3 bundle, one of them definitely being Devil May Cry 4 and another I was deciding between Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty 4. I was definitely struck by fate because another customer of the shop just suddenly walk over and said that he wanted to sell his copy of Assassin's Creed off for RM100. Immediately I check the condition of the disc and it look as good as new. Without any doubt I paid that RM100 to him and also got another game (Ninja Gaiden Sigma) from him also at a bargain price. I was definitely very happy to have decided on buying my PS3 on that day.

So far, I haven't had much time to play it yet but when I have, the game I would be playing is Devil May Cry 4. Simply amazing, the difficulty has been toned down to better suit average hardcore gamers like me. I was just never good with DMC3, barely able to get through the first boss.... on the first mission ..... on normal difficulty........ Yeah, embarassing........ I once button mashed the damn controller till I had a sore finger the next day. DMC3 was really tough to beat but yet I manage to get through it without throwing the controller out the window. It looks so cool that I am currently putting it on standby with this preview on my screen and its background music is simply fantastic. I love it. Woot!

Fighting off my temptations to play the PS3 is tough. I wish I had more time. The month of March is just going to be ever more busy with all coursework due at the end of the month and at least 1 test for every subject I am taking. Why oh why is college life so busy. Sianzzz. At least, today I have managed to finish one of my assignment which is the draft for the term paper. Seeing as it is just a draft, this means that there would still be a need to edit stuff here and there later on, but at least I have finished writing the 2300 words essay and I am proud to say that this is my personal record for longest essay written. Bloody hell I wish that I would not have to do something like this anymore.

I am gonna start work on my Micro project tomorrow. Well technically I have finished my part and Freddy has sent me his part also. What I am pissed off right now is that a group member of mine just dropped the subject and did not even take the initiative to inform us earlier. Bloody woman, it was only when I requested her portion of the project from her that I found out about her dropping. Just two weeks before the due date, and now I have to do her part of the work for her also. What the F-Bomb. . . I have no idea why, but I always meet people like this throughout the one year I have studied in INTI. The first time was back in Anthro class with the dumbass that is better off just standing at a corner of the room holding cups or something.

Before I end this post, an official date has been given to the release date of one of the most anticipated game for the PS3. Metal Gear Solid 4, June 12 worldwide release. I will be sure to pre-order or something. I need a copy of that as soon as possible. Snake? Snake! Snake !!

Lost times...

Just within the past 24 hours, I've been given quite a lot of time to reflect on what has happen in my life up until now, even though I had to study for the Microeconomics test on Tuesday. Needless to say, there hasn't been much achievement that I could really be proud of. Besides education, I have never excelled in anything else. I was never good with sports (e-sports not counted), nor did I have any special talents (ea: musical instruments). Sad for me to say I am someone who is book smart and that is all to it. Sometime I really doubt how far I can go on by my own. Yes, I have a good family which have been very supportive of what I have been doing for the past two decades. Without them, I dare say I would probably have nothing at all.

Everyone probably has something which they hope they could have changed in the past, which includes me. If given that power, I would really wish I could have use all that free time I had (usually most of the time besides schooling hours) to pick up a couple of skills. I recalled that my mom had asked me before during when I was smaller, if I would like to learn piano together with my sister who was learning it at that time and I said NO. Man, if I managed to travel back in time, I would really smack that younger me at the back of the head nicely for saying that. Even more so, I hated myself for never actually using all that time I had for doing any quality work. I remembered that up until form 5, I usually had all the time in the world to do something meaningful. The only classes I took were the tuition classes which I would say was a bloody waste of time.

I had always wanted more out of my life but sadly, it has been a very dull one. If only I did not have all this college course work, I would probably be going off to learn something that I actually like. Japanese is one of them, and possibly also learning the piano (I don't give a damn if anyone think pianos are only for girls). Recently, I have had the time to talk with a friend from college, name Hui Yi and well she have the above mentioned skills which I would like to own. I really envy her for that very very much. ( I probably shouldn't be talking so much about a girl if I still want my ass to remain intact. Haha joking ne! =P) Should probably get her to give me lessons. LoL!

It was not that I did not give a try at learning the Japanese language though. Only thing is that it just doesn't feel the same without the pressure of someone actually guiding you. Also noted is the fact that since it is a language, I believe the only way that I can actually improve is by practicing it with someone. Not only that, after a whole day of classes and assignments, it is very hard to motivate myself to go cram even more things into this tiny brain of mine. The incentive is just not there, you know. Some people would probably think that this is just an excuse and well, it is. I wouldn't say I am the most hardworking person around as I know how I myself works. Forcing just does not help.

As the title of my last post stated, I really need a break, not just a day off, but more than that, what I need is for all these thoughts to just leave me alone. Most of the time, these thoughts brings along guilt and depression which really spoils my mood to even take a nice break.

9Okie enough of that sad post, as some of you who have been paying attention to the chatbox might know, I am going to get a Playstation 3 soon. Woot for me I would say. I know a few of my "buddies" would already have started planning some kind of ambush on me, kidnapping me and possibly blackmailing to get that Ps3. The only thing reply in return instead is "Pry it from my cold, dead hands if you can". *I do not in anyway mean that I want to be murdered by someone, please do not take it seriously and have a nice day.*

I am planning to get two games, one of them which is definitely Devil May Cry 4 and the other, I am still having a lot of thoughts on what I should get. There are a few choices (feel free to drop me a comment):

Gimme a break----- literally, i need one

Yes, I know it has been forever since I have written a decent post. Unlike Ben, I can't blog about anything and everything. Maybe that is why he is doing journalism and I am not. =P

This has been one heck of a week once more. 6 days of class including today's Calculus 2 replacement class. The day started out with all my daily routine over and over again. Sometime I can't help but feel dejavu-ish that every single day I am doing the same thing repeatedly. I forgot today is a Saturday, and well I left home at about the same time I usually do but reached at about 7 am. 1 hour before my class started, I almost felt like slapping the back of my head as I could have slept for an extra half an hour today. Class was alright and surprisingly I did not feel tired at all although I have only been sleeping for 6-7 hours per day for the past week.

To think that I only have one day off tomorrow, (and even then I have to study for next week's Micro test) is really sad and depressing. I can foresee already what I will be doing for the next couple of weeks and well it just adds to the already solemn mood in me. I forgot whether it was during this week (or maybe last week) that my application to Wichita State University is accepted. I would say they are very efficient unlike the other 2. Talking about the others, the admission office at UNL is having a slight problem with my application. Apparently, they need a Statement of Support from me that has the values return in but I am quite sure that I have written in all the necessary info for them before sending it. Troublesome lar~ The University of Wisconsin- Madison on the other hand is the one which has no updates or whatsoever on my application. Till date, I have only received one email from them. Whats even more annoying is that they actually sent it to my alternate email address instead of my preferred one. =.="

Besides studies, this week I did not really have much activities. The only time I spent with my girlfriend, besides the time sending her back from her University, is probably going to the Tian Hou Gong Temple yesterday. My girlfriend wanted to go pray and ask about some stuff so I naturally accompanied her and at the same time prayed together-gether. It is kinda ironic though as I usually do not go to the temple besides during the Chinese New Year, but I only went there the day after CNY officially ended. I am unsure of whether I have been to that place or not, I've heard of the place numerous time but have no fond memory of ever being there.

Let's see what else, err yeah, Game Developer's Conference was recently held, one of those big events in the gaming industry. A number of sequels were announced and quite a number of it are actually games that I have finished playing. Gears of War 2 definitely pique my interest, although the teaser trailer was just showing off Marcus Fenix vs-ing a Locust, what is more important is the fact that they will be chainsaw counter in the sequel (I hate it when the one getting chainsawed is my character instead). One word, "Awesome". In the tech demo we can see that there is an upgrade to what the engine could do and all. The environment are destructible, the water ripples like it is supposed to, and the blob of ........what the, MEAT?!? jiggles like its suppose to?? Sadly, for now the game is only announced for the 360 (XBOX)





Other game sequels announced are like Portal 2, the game with the AI which IMO is not that good in persuading a person. "THE CAKE IS A LIE!" or maybe not. The concept behind the gameplay is really creative and also unique. Something which is very rare in the gaming world right now. The part I love the most about the game is probably the credits, the AI actually sang the song. LoL, here's the video clip. P.S. If you have the time go look up its lyrics.

Short Break

I apologize that I haven't been maintaining my blog for quite some time. I was really busy (actually still is, only less). All three universities applications are done and that is one heck of a burden off my back. Probably will receive the admission decision when it is nearing the finals for the 1st semester, so I am not gonna stress myself over whether I will be accepted or not.

Oh yeah, I will not be giving anymore summaries on the Bleach episodes. I figure that if you are like me and watching the anime, you would most likely be downloading the episode and seeing it for yourself, rather than read from somebody's blog about what is unfolding in the world of Shinigamis and Hollows.

Recently besides watching Bleach and Naruto, I have also started watching Family Guy. They are surprisingly alike The Simpsons, for example both are a family of five(excluding Brian the dog). Peter and Homer are probably the biggest jerk in their own world. Both Stewie and Maggie has an IQ which you will never find in a baby their age. Another thing is that they both featured a lot of really funny antics.

Oh yeah before I forget. My desktop's motherboard is kinda screwed up and I would need to take it back to Low Yat to claim my warranty. It is really troublesome that I have to go all the way there. For some reason, I dislike people over at the Low Yat and Sungai Wang area. People who work in Low Yat are really bad mannered, and occasionally you will get the feeling that people there are just interested to serve you when you have something to buy. I am not just making any kind of speculation, as I have proof to support my statement. About a month or two ago, I went and claim the warranty for my sister's flashdrive from the shop I got it from. The dick head which "served" me, speaks and act as if I was responsible for his parent's death or something similar to that. On the other hand, the reason I dislike Sg. Wang is because the place is infested with seafood. Once again, this species of human has a tendency to speak and act like they own the place.

Recently, I have also been picking up a lot of hobby which I abandoned when I was younger. I have learned to appreciate reading more nowadays, although I must admit that not all the books I read are study related. I have finished reading the first Diablo novel "Birthright", and has started on the second entitled "Diablo: The Sin War, Scales of the Serpent". Another more unique hobby is assembling Jigsaw Puzzle. The other day, me and my girlfriend went and bought a Kingdom Hearts Jigsaw Puzzle which contains 1000 pieces. Me and my girlfriend have started working on it since yesterday and our progress is shown in the picture. Hopefully I can get the puzzle done before my break ends.

Life has been tough on me, I have no mood to blog, everything seem to turn their backs on me. Screw it all........

Busy lar~

What a week it has been, up until now this must be the busiest college week for me. It has been such a long time since I had 6 days of classes a week (the last time was at Alif College). Well, Saturday was a replacement class for Cal 2. Although my assignments are still manageable, it is the University application stuf that is bugging me a lot. Good news is that I have some recyclable documents which I had prepared when I was applying to the University of Maryland last year. This time, I am officially applying to 3 Universities at the same time; University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and also Wichita State University.

I have already ordered extra copies of my TOEFL results to be sent to the three Universities. Each piece cost USD 17, which means the total money that I have spent on the results alone is USD 51 = RM160+. I am probably gonna send my application form to University of Wisconsin first because their application deadline for Fall 2008 is on February 2008 (freaking early). Even though today is supposed to be the day off from the entire week I am still preparing the necessary application materials for the universities. Glad to say, that I have just finished and have the time to finally write something decent in my post after a couple of days. Now, I have only a couple of hours more before the beginning of another (possibly) busy week.

Tomorrow I am planning to go to Alif College to apply for the official college transcript together with the course syllabus during my 2 hours break that I have between classes. I wonder if Ben will want to follow...... Let's see if I can "persuade" him into following. Hopefully I can make it back in time for my class, I don't want to miss any of Miss Shanta's class. For me, the momentum is finally picking up after that 2 months holiday, Calculus 2 FTW.

Okie nuff said about the boring week, now onto anime, Bleach Episode 156 "Ishida & Pesshe, the United Attack of Friendship?". Ishida is still fighting the lady Privaron Espada with the big yoyo, and suddenly Pesshe (one of the friendly hollows) comes to his aid? or is he really the one needing the help? As weak as Pesshe seems, he has this attack called "Infinite Slick" which causes anything it touches to become super slippery. The attack even caused the Privaron Espada to injure herself. That attack provoked her, so she released her sword and transformed. Initially Ishida and Pesshe had some trouble fighting her but eventually Ishida revealed his own trump card, a Reiatsu Saber (it was named by me, after the Light Saber). The saber cut through the Privaron Espada's attack and with that it ended the episode. In my opinion, this fight was rather boring, I prefer watching the fight between Rukia and the 9th Espada. Finally some screenshots.



Now for gaming, seriously this week alone there are a ton loads of news on some of the triple A title which is going to be released for the year. Lets start off by saying that the official website for Devil May Cry 4 is up and running, there are 2 links to it, but I think the both of them lead to the same site. I will post both up either ways www.betrayerbetrayed.com and also www.deceiverdeceived.com , I myself have yet to checked them out thoroughly but I recalled that there is a trailer before you enter the site. I envy those who have a PS3, this is probably the year to get it also. The value of the US Dollar has also dropped by a bit and this would probably mean a cheaper PS3 too. At its current price USD 400 x 3.2 = RM1280, too bad I would still have to wait till I arrive at US to decide whether to get one or not. It is so very tempting yet the only friend I know which have a PS3 is Leon from school. I KILL YOU!!! Lucky fella T.T

Next, we have another new PSP bundle, this time it is for the Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G that is going to be released in Japan soon. The PSP design is very nice and personally I would love to have it but no money, no talk eh. It is selling for 25,800 Yen which is close to RM800, but just like the Crisis Core bundle, I have a feeling that dealers will be jacking the price up to about RM1000. If I had that kinda money, I would rather be getting a PS3. Damn, but it sure looks good.

There are still quite a lot of news out there which are still unsaid, but I have to go out for dinner now. From what I can see though, 2008 is definitely going to be the rise of the PS3. This is probably a good news, as I am quite a Playstation fanboy (note: I am not a SONY fanboy mainly because their stuff are mainly overrated). Well, time to enjoy what is left of my week. Buh bye~

Alone..

Recently, there have been a lot of things in my mind, and unfortunately, most of them are really unpleasant and downright sad. Yes, I am emo-ing and it has become a very common "part" of my life these days. A lot of thing is bugging me and it feels so difficult to tell anyone about the problem. It really does make a person feel somewhat alone, since the only person who can understand, and eventually come up with a solution is none other than you. The distress doesn't just surface during when I am awake, but even when I am sleeping. I have been having some really bad dreams nowadats; most of the time, the theme consists of tragedy, anger, and even sometime, things that I have never imagined I would do........like murder. This dreams are truly disturbing, but I have no idea what is causing it and how I can fix it even. I hope those dreams have nothing to do with real life though, it might have some hidden meanings to it (this reminds me of Freud's theory). I just wish that things can get back to normal again. I still have other much more important tasks to attend to and all these mental conflicts are creating some minor distractions.

Okie now, most of the stuff regarding this semester is settled, not in the most favorable manner but at least it is the best I can settle for. Next up, will be the matter regarding the application and such. There will be a seminar at college on the US Universities application stuff and most likely I will be attending it. That will be all that I will be talking about studies in today's post. It's the end of the week after all.

After 2 weeks, Bleach episode 155 is out " Rukia Retaliates! Release the Desperate Kidou", no idea why they will say anything about a desperate kidou.... Lousy direct translation I guess. This time the fight between Rukia and Kaien continues, and there were some new flashy moves in it. For one, Kaien has finally shown us his Zanpakutoh( which is actually a trident named Nejibana, and the translation being screw flower, like OMGWTH gay name ), and Rukia also featured some of her trademark skills together with a couple of Kidou ( spells ). Eventually, the Espada's disguise of Kaien got dispeled and revealed the true face of the 9th Espada (freaking hard to say or even spell his name, Aru-something Are-something). It was during then that Rukia gained the confidence to fight without hesitation, knowing that the "person" is not her senpai ( senior ). The episode ended with Mr. 9th Espada's Zanpakutoh release, and revealing what seems to be a giant blob of hollow. Personally, I think that it looks really lame, but well, I'm not the artist. Look at the screenshots, the fake Kaien looks really alike Ichigo, except for the hair color that is.



Speaking of anime, I've been watching a lot of Naruto lately, and I came to this decision. It is a funny anime, the storyline is just okie, and the action is quite mild. Sometimes, I can even feel that Naruto isn't even the main character in the anime, although the anime is named after him. The storyline jumps around a lot, and they can really drag a scene over a course of four to five episodes ( I swear). Overall, it isn't bad, but it isn't really good either. No offense to Naruto fans out there, I still like Bleach more. XD

Recently, there isn't much gaming news but at least I know a couple of release date for some of 2008's triple A title already. For example DMC 4 will be out at the end of the month, if i only had a PS3 to play that. Next, there is MGS4, which is speculated to be out during quarter 2 of 2008. Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core will be released on March 25, and also for the PSP, God of Wars: Chain of Olympus's release date will be March 4. The above mentioned are just the games which is sure to be on my list. There are still lots of other great games and if you did notice, the above games are just the one which will be out by the 1st half of 2008.

Let's see what other games are there, oh yeah, Far Cry 2 has the same release date as FF7:CC , Battlefield: Bad Company, possibly within the 1st quarter of 2008, and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for the DS will be released in the month of March also.

Endure

I'm gonna make this a short post, as of now, it has been a week since college started. Mostly I have a lot of trouble with the subjects that I am taking this semester. I might be switching one of my subject to another, but unfortunately that subjects isn't ENL102. I have no idea why but the timetable is kind of screwy. Everything which I would like to take is either fully occupied/ clashing with the timetable of my current subjects.

After doing some research, I found out that for the University of Nebraska Lincoln, Moral Education (that bloody LAN subject) is actually transferable as a Humanities course, which means I do not need Phi101. That is why I have decided to take another natural science subject to replace it. For now, I have my eye set on Chm107, which is some low level chemistry, mainly because the timetable fits perfectly and it is also one of the requirements of UNL. I have to recheck the timetable for General Physics 1 though because it just might be able to fit into the timetable as well.

Regardless of whether I am changing the subjects I am taking, I would still need to attend tomorrow's morning Phi101 class, because the AUP office is only opened at about 9a.m. Oh yea, talking about Phi101, I haven't actually had any class with Mr. Eddy. On the first day, it was basically introducing one another to him, and on yesterday (Monday), he bailed on us at the last minute. It was truly iritating because I woke up at 6a.m. to attend his class and he just canceled it. Worse yet, my next class was at 12. =.="

Also, today my girl girl's grandma had to go for an operation, and it is good to know that her condition is now stable, and hopefully she would be back in the pink of health soon. I hope that she would recover quickly also, and come back home(my girlfriend's house, duh) soon. = )

Screw this......

No chance of getting the change of subjects that I wanted. The class is full, and today is the last day for switching subjects without having to pay extra. Now I have to go through one semester of ENL102 which is possibly redundant and unnecessary for a certain University which I am applying to. Great news. Worse yet, this is probably gonna [CENSORED] up my CGPA once again. I hated language classes ever since .............well, forever, and this just makes it worse. I guess it is my fault again for not choosing the right subject. So all I can say is "Screw Me!!", [CENSORED]-ing retard, why did I [CENSORED] choose this subject in the first place, mother [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED].

Enough about the screwed up class, this couple of days, my mood has just been bad. I feel so rebellious, and would argue with anyone if they even ticked me off a little. Just yesterday, I argued with my mom about sending her to Midvalley today, but I still eventually did, because I felt really guilty for shouting at her. These stress is really getting on my nerves, and turning me into someone who is so different, a week ago.

My girlfriend, as always has been sweet and understanding towards me. I complained and complained but yet she was there for me all the time. Unfortunately though, ever since her grandma was admitted into the hospital, she barely had any time to contact me. When she was awake, then I would be sleeping (due to the early morning classes). Since she is always at the hospital till really early in the morning, she will only sleep around dawn, and wake up in the afternoon. So, when she was sleeping, I will be awake and all be bored. The only time I can freely contact her is between the time she wakes up and the time she leaves her home (in the evening) to go to the hospital.

Seeing Ben and Mei in college doesn't help, because it only makes me feel even worse about myself. I really miss my girlfriend, when I am in college, and the only thing I can do is try to keep myself busy with some stuff relating to my studies. Even when I am home, I just read my notes and study, barely touching my PSP, and just today, I started watching Naruto which Szeten has earlier copied into my computer.

Writing in the blog really helps release some stress, which is probably why these few days you all will see me writing (more like complaining) a lot in my blog. For those who dislike reading stuff like this, please do yourself a favor, and just ignore my blog for some time. I would only be writing anything related to gaming when there is actually some big news around. Currently all I read about is speculations about this and that, and it is certainly getting a little old.

Rest-less

Read the title properly, I am actually having a lack of sleep, and not actually having problem sleeping. Starting classes at 8 in the morning is really taking a toll on my lazy ass body, which is not a good thing. Mainly because, I can stone all day long just staring into blank space, or I will be unable to pay attention in class. Worse yet, this is only the 2nd day of the semester. Next week and the following weeks after, I will have to wake up at 6 am every single weekday. 0.o

Also, today's Microecons seems okie but the lecturer mentioned something about being really tough to score A and such. I personally still kinda doubt that would happen since it is a reading subject and all, but since I have no background in business (besides principle of accounting), I can't really say much can I?

For ENL102, it was kinda the same thing also. A- is probably the best I can do in it even though this is just the 1st class. A is impossible in my case, I would have to upgrade my vocab by a lot, which is just not possible within 3/4 months. So, I have kinda decided to drop that sub and go for another. I am still considering either Politic,History of America, or General Physics 1. I will just have to see whether the classes are already full tomorrow. I also need to get everything done by tomorrow because there will still be no extra charges for switching courses, as tomorrow is the deadline.

Also, applying to the Universities is really making me really moody as it is tough to choose from so many of them. I have spent the past two days looking for more Universities, and it seems like the more I look, the more options come into my pool of choices. I seriously have to find some way to narrow all this down, and hopefully get something like a maximum of 5 Unis to apply to. There is just so much to do, and it seems to grow by the day. Stressed out already on the 2nd day of the semester, must find some way to direct all the stress towards. Even that is another task yet to be done, I can't seem to even power up my PSP or double click on one of them icons on my desktop. All this stress is really causing me to lose any mood to game even. Darn you, tertiary!!!

Regarding the application the Unis also, I am still quite worried about another factor, which is the transcript from Alif. I f**king regretted doing an Art course, and it's because of that that my application might not be evaluated at my true potential. I only got a freaking 3.0 CGPA at Alif which really makes it hard for me to apply to those better Universities. I know I kinda screwed up my education in that 1 year time and really nothing can be done about it.
Darn you, freaking stupid results from ALIF!!

After ranting everything out (or in this case, typing it out), it really does feel a bit better and I guess theres nothing better to do but to face this cruel reality. Ending this post with something funny which I found today while surfing the net.

Another Bleach-less week.

Since there is no Bleach anime to be released this week, I will just be posting up screenshot from last week's episode. I know it is a tad bit too late for it, but nevertheless the summary from the previous episode: There was a very brief fight scene between Chad and his opponent which shown him getting beaten quite badly. After that it was mostly about Rukia and his long lost friend (or is he?). They chatted about a couple of things including how his friend(Kaien-dono) managed to survive the coup-de-grace done by Rukia to him while his body was being controlled by a hollow. As they chatted, Kaien acted suspiciously once in a while, which really caused her to doubt whether that was really her friend. Eventually, he got Rukia pissed off and eventually, she started attacking that so called "friend" of hers. That was about it for that episode, and below are some snapshots I took.

Back to my daily talk, well today was fun, Philo was just a brief intro class and Cal 2 was about doing some revision on Inverse Function. Everything is still light and easy in that sense. If only every class was like that. Guess that's not going to happen, but anyways I am hoping that Microecons will be more interesting and well English Composition 2, no comment for that as ENL101 has left a bad taste in my mouth already. After class I went to have lunch with Kai and Mei at Asia Cafe. I felt like a spotlight all the while when I was with them. Yet it was fun to be able to spend time with friends rather than just gaming at home(at least for now).

Ben and me talked about bringing our laptop next time to college for some LAN gaming but just couldn't pick the right game for it. I personally would pick Gears of War, but in order to play on Co-op mode, we have to have windows live GOLD membership, what a rip off. Yet we can still play online matches if we wanted to. Now all he has to do is get a way to sign in to a Windows Live profile without a product key. LOL! Of course a lot of other games can also be played online but it wouldn't be fun either if it was just the two of us LAN-ing. Like me and Ben said, playing Crysis will be like a game of tag which applies to both side. Hunt and be hunted, one on one. It would be as fun as drinking soup with a fork. (I know I have used the phrase a couple of time Ben, but I just couldn't remember where I picked it up and it is a good comparison=P).

So the beginning of the year is turning out all right, and I can just hope that things stay that way. I do not want to get bored of my semester this early.

I noticed that recently my gaming blog doesn't seem so much like one because well I have not been doing much talking about it. Don't worry though, 2o08 is a good year for games, with title such as Metal Gear Solid 4, Devil May Cry 4, God of War, Crisis Core, and many more. It is possible that 2008 will have a line up of non-bigshot game which are as good, if not better than those from 2007, like Bioshock. Let's just wait and see for ourselves, and I will keep this blog updated with those info.
