Another quickie

There seems to be some way TM is finding out the time when I want to write a post, and decides to slow down my bandwidth. Every time I plan to write one, the connection would become really sucky and make it hard for me to upload pics.

Okie anyways, just to make it short. This is already the last week of the semester, next Wednesday is going to be the finals for Psychology. Studying hard but gaming harder. I am soooo in trouble.

So anyways while reading the online newspaper, I found this article "Older Gen. going Next Gen". So, obviously I made up that title, but this is seriously some really "informative" news. Time to convince my grandpa to get a PS3.

Besides that this week, I am also awaiting from the admission review by the University of Maryland. Cross my fingers and hope that I will be accepted. XD

Lastly, Bioshock gooood, finally managed to install it on my lappy after installing a new driver for my graphic card. The game is really exhilarating, keeps you on your toe all the time. Scared the living hell out of me a couple of time. Yet, leaving me thirsting for more.

Minutes to Meltdown

Holy !@#$, there has been a really big problem now with my Maryland application. It's probably the worse news ever, my previous semester's transcript had not been received by the University of Maryland. That was probably what I needed to boost my chance of getting admitted and now hope seems really bleak. Well, there is a small chance that they just might have misplaced the package. This is because according to the courier tracking service, my package has been sign and delivered to its address about a month ago. Currently, I have already requested them( UM's staff) to try looking for that package, and hopefully it will be there.

Sending another copy of my transcript is not an option as it will only be received earliest in two weeks time and from what they informed me, the review will be done by the end of October. All I can do now is pray really hard and hope this can all be over in a fine manner. I do not want to spend another 8 months here wasting my time.

Don't feel like talking about it even more, so time for this week's Bleach. There was no Bleach last week and this week's Bleach is titled Bleach 144 "Ishida and Chad, the quickening of a new power" and as the name suggests, two characters gained a new power or to be more precise, weapons. Now for the million dollar question, guess who are the two characters? If you can answer it, congratulations, you can do deduction of information. If you can't ...... need I say more? Ok, jokes aside, this episode has some minor fighting here and there but still worth the wait. There is also another new theme song which I personally did not like. Some screenshots of this week's episode.

Besides that this week, I basically took the whole week off as my personal holiday. But at least I had a MC to backup my absentee from class. Miss M had some improvement and I would say good for her. Still, I prefer Miss Kamal but she is on leave this week so wouldn't be seeing her till next week.

Before I forget, I would like to introduce you guys to a really good deal( in my opinion at least). For those FPS lover out there, this pack is probably what you should be getting. The Orange Box, 5 games in 1. It cost RM 175 and for that price you get Half Life 2, HL2: Episode 1, HL2: Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2. Best of all, you will be given the chance to play online legally with other people. Although some would say "Dumb@$$ you actually paid to play original games", I for one am proud that I am beginning to support ori stuff. Of course, currently I am still not in the best condition to fully support original games but at least I gave it a start.
Ok so back to this, Portal was probably the fun-est game of that five. Mainly because it challenges your brain to think about how you would use a single method to accomplish your task. To give you a hint of what the game is like, imagine you can create 2 doors which are interconnected regardless of where you put them. As soon as you walk into 1, you will be coming out from the next. Well the game is really fun but unfortunately it only lasts a couple of hours.

For those who are interested you should get one now as the pack comes with a free carpet, oopps I mean gaming mouse pad. For further details, feel free to ask me about it, just drop a message in the chatbox. That's about it for today. Bye peeps.

Spending time with my honey

Today is probably the last time I can go out with my girlfriend, until she finishes her SPM. Since we have never been to Midvalley for quite some time now( actually she went a couple of days before), we decided to go dating there instead. One of the reason we went there was to see Midvalley's new wing, The Garden. Sounds nice enough, but in fact it is a really boring part of MV. All you see there are clothing, accessories and such. Not to be miss is the fact that these shops are usually the branded ones, so that means most stuff are bloody expensive.

Well, we just went shopping around, ok mainly my girlfriend was the one who shopped I just followed along and gave her my opinion XD. All the shopping I did was going around looking for a certain Planex USB Wifi Dongle, but I had no luck, as none of the 5 or more shops that I went to had it. To anyone who might know what the heck that is and where I can get it from, please please please PM me. I have to admit my legs are really worn out right now, numb is all I can feel. I did not regret though, I really needed to spend more time with my girlfriend and less on my PSP. Furthermore, she really needed to relax one last time before her SPM finally comes.

Before ending the post, I have to warn everyone about something, beware the item above. DO NOT get tricked by the nice look and all. It cost over 10 Ringgit, and only the top layer are actually coated with some stuff, all those below are just fried pieces of dough. Dunkin' Donuts donuts are not really all that tasty, swear I will never pay another cent for their stuff.

Halo 3 FTW

Okie, if you guys had been visiting my blog ever since it was "born". Some of you might have seen the video clip of a certain potty-mouth master chief who ironically, sucks really badly at Halo 3 Beta. Well guess what, here's a sequel to that and looks like some1 has not change his habit of cursing at every other gamer. Enjoy =D

Besides that, today Jeng Yue and Wai Hong came over to visit me. We had a couple of matches of Battlefield 2 but it was not really tat fun because they constantly got disconnected from my server. There must be some bug in the game.

Besides that, Kok Hoong has finally gotten himself a PSP. Cool, now I can have someone to play with when I am at US. He is currently indulging in his all time favorite game(I think) Ratchet and Clank.

[EDIT] I just checked up on my previous post and notice that I did not post the video clip titled "Master Chief Sucks at Halo 3 Beta" sorry my bad but here it is.

End of the week

Hey all who have been reading my blog, I know I haven't been updating it for quite some time, but I was "kinda" busy this week. We had a quiz on Wednesday, which was really tough IMO. I did not really do really well on it, 33/40 bugger was hoping for 35 and above. Then on that same day, I receive my Dean's Honor Roll for scoring over 3.5 CGPA last semester. Well it was nice and all but I was really aiming for the president's list(perfect 4.0 CGPA). Oh yeah, and being me, I accidentally got some oil smudges on the certificate (=.="). All that aside, it was really a very dull week, nothing much happening.

Well, for some of you, Hari Raya's holiday would be the whole of next week. For me it's just Monday, yes...... ONE bloody day. What's worse, our Psych teacher will not be coming to class and she will be replaced by none other than our previous lecturer. Holy @#!$...... Don't really feel like attend her class but two things are holding me back from doing so. 1) Ben was right, we should give face to her ( after all it was because of us that she had to go sit at other lecturer's classes) 2) The more important factor, ATTENDANCE. Fortunately there might only be two classes next week, depending on whether she can finish the syllabus, and for me I have an excuse to skip class on Wednesday already. So hopefully, there will only be one class next week(for me at least).

Over with the daily chit-chat, and now on to the most active topic in my blog, games. Well, well, this week, I manage to get my hands on a "Jack Sparrow" copy of Bioshock. On the down side, the DVD could not be installed on my computer (probably due to my disc drive). I have been wanting to get this game for quite some time. Temptations, temptations.... I just had to play it and so I went and download the demo version of the game. You guys can get the demo here if you want it "Bioshock Demo". Well from the demo alone, I know I just had to play this game. The game looks really beautiful, in the starting scene, I did not know that I was playing the game until I notice that the cutscene has stopped. The water details are beautiful, the fire effect is realistic. As you move through the game, you will constantly doubt that the graphic artist can do any better than they already have, but you will soon come to realize that this is not true.

The game is really fun as it keeps you in suspense all the time, the setting is dark, enemies can suddenly pop out of nowhere. Although it might sound scary, but if I dare to play it, most other people would not have any problem with it. As you can see from the pictures in my post, there is this giant aquanaut monster thingy with a little girl at its side. Well, it isn't necessary to fight even one of these beast but you have to do so in order to gather the resources needed to buy new skills. Although the demo did not feature a fight with one of this pairs, but there was a scene where they show how destructive this guy could be. There was this scene where one of the dumber enemy comes into the room where that little girl (known as Little Sister) was and attempt to assault her. That was all it took to trigger a chain of bonebreaking events for that fool(Splicer). Firstly the aquanaut monster thingy( known as Big Daddy) jumps down from the second floor, throws a chair at the Splicer. BD then body slams him after that, holds him up, drills a hole in his stomach, grab his skull, and smash his puny head through a bulletproof glass(the glass only fractured the first couple of time he smashed the Splicer's head).

Senseless violence is just so fun to look at (in game, mind you). So, in the demo we were given the choice of using a couple of weapons which are a wrench, a revolver, and a machine gun. For the secondary weapon/ skill , we had an electric bolt attack and another immolating skill.

I must admit, I found the fire skill to be really cool. If you had ever like how cool it was for the fire alchemist(Mustang) in Fullmetal Alchemist to show off his skill at the snap of his fingers. Well, this is exactly the same! It looks damn cool when you snap your finger and your enemies just lights up like a matchstick. Even better is the fact that there are sure to run to the closest water puddle to cool off, only to be zap by the electric bolt skill. The water does conduct electricity like in real life! (unlike Oblivion where the lightning bolt simply disappears).

So on a final note, for anyone who already has this game. Could you kindly contact me cause I would really like to play the full game as soon as possible.( leave a message in the chatbox please)

Please don't forget me

Yeah as the name states, please don't forget my lil blog all fellow readers. I've been neglecting it I know, but this few days I find it kinda hard to express my thoughts in words. It's as if my English has been demoted. Even in my assignments, sentence are sometime not making sense when I read through it. I was actually planning to write a review last night but half way through, I felt really sucky that I had to correct a lot of mistake in the post and got fed up with it eventually. That post had been save into draft and I will be continuing it once my language crisis gets a solution to it.

Besides that, this few days there are nothing much happened other than the release of a new Bleach episode. Ichigo, Ishida and Chad heads into Hueco Mundo to try and save Orihime who was captured by Ulquiorra and this episode showed how Grimmjow regained his position as the Sexta(sixth) Espada. Still waiting for the nice fighting scenes which is due to happened in the upcoming episodes.

Let's see what else. Oh yeah, my girlfriend went to the dentist today and came back with a very sore mouth. I feel for you darling! I was a really careless that I did not chatted with her while she had to endured the pain the whole day. I thought she was resting and spend little time finding her. Little did I know she was actually waiting for me. Sorry dear, promise to spend the day tomorrow sms-ing you. ^^

Well that's about it, life is rather boring especially when I still have a psycho report to write. My groupmate just gave me all the stuff and I have to start work tomorrow, on a SUNDAY =.=". Somebody save me. I wish I have more time to chill....

It's Official!

You might ask what I'm talking about. Dropping history, of course. Well, I dare say, I did feel some regret at first. After all, 3 credit hours and more importantly the money just went down the drain when I dropped the subject. Despite that, since I have already made this decision, I should not regret what I have done. I should start to take responsibility for my own action. As long as I have support from my girlfriend, all will be fine.

Today I went out with my girlfriend to try a Japanese Shave Ice desert and I dare say it is really unique. The ice is really "soft" and the flavor is just sweet enough. I would upload photos of it if I could, but it tasted that good that it was all gone before I even thought about it.

Since I have only 1 subject, I would have more time to o some other suff. First and foremost, I think I will be working out my study plan so that everything can all be planned out. This way, I would not have to worry too much about what I should take and all every single semester. I also wish to relearn my C++ programming and perhaps even Japanese language (already forgot about half the Hiragana and Katakana) Anyone care to give guidance? XD

Recently, all I have been doing is playing Monster Hunter on my PSP. The game is just so addictive. I do feel guilty sometime since I am not keeping myself busy with work, but yet it is just so tempting. Besides that, I have yet to try out Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core and also the new Final Fantasy Tactics for the PSP. So much game, so little time.

MidTerm Mayhem

Been a couple of days since I last updated and sorry if I have let any of my blog "fans" waiting (doubt there are any though *perasan*). Psycho was tough, really TOUGH. Guess nothing can be done about that. What's done is done.

Besides that, I have decided to drop History. The lecturer is one helluva slacker, for the first month there were no work or anything. Suddenly he says presentation this Wednesday, MidTerm next Thursday, and passing up the assignment he gave on the Monday after next. The main reason for dropping is still on me though, I really do not understand the text, and I do not wish to let my CGPA to drop due to this subject.

The University of Maryland had yet to inform me of the admission decision. I hate waiting for something so indesicive but yet my future depends on it. *Sigh*

After today's exam, I just relaxed for the whole day. I even had a spaghetti dinner with my girlfriend tonight, cooked by me..............not really........... my mom, girlfriend and sis helped. I barely did 10% of the work. Hehe

Please bear with me, as today I am just feeling so lazy and do not feel like doing anything. So that's the end of today's post.
